After a two month hiatus, I am bringing back my monthly contests…and I decided to do it with a bang!

First off, I put the word out about potential contest themes and the highest voted theme was “EMOTIONS”. Now, as usual, this is extremely open-ended. The emotion the image portrays could be happy, sad, angry, jealous, rejected, surprised…truly anything. We will not be judging about which emotion you portrayed, but about how it was portrayed.

I say “we” because I have an extra special guest judge for the April contest: Jeremy Cowart. He will be helping to run through the pictures and pick the winners at the end of April. I am thrilled to have him on board to get this going and am so thankful for his support.

Here is how it works: Each person can submit up to 3 links to pictures pertaining to the theme. You can submit them in the forum on facebook. Your links can go anywhere (Flickr, DeviantArt, 500px, Facebook, blogs, etc etc etc…). You can submit anywhere from 1-3 links, and you can do so all at once or spaced out through the month, either way is fine. You can submit new work or old work, it is all accepted and judged equally.

We will be judging based on originality, technique, and how well it portrays the theme.

The prizes: I will be sending a costume dress to the first place winner in the mail. The first, second, and third place winners will be featured on my blog, along with the honorable mentions.
