My latest picture is very, very loosely based off of the work of Dino Valls.
His work has captivated me for well over a week now. I cannot stop staring at his creations. They are equal parts perverse, provocative, and thoughtful. Every compostion is so lifelike and frightening. The human body is painted very authentically, and yet he paints the impossible. If I were a painter, I would want to be Dino Valls.
On another note, my sister-in-law Steph flew away from us yesterday. I attempted some “classic” portraits of her. Here is one:
…and she took one of me while we were hiking to get to the creek for her levitation shot:

So i finally got a chance to get round to commenting here – i cannot believe how good Dino Valls is, thanks so much for showing me this fantasic artist! there is one painting in particular he did, with four bodies intertwined together that now I want to try to interpret myself now, it’s simply brilliant!! It’s such a great idea to gain inspiration from paintings. xx
